Life of CSR’s on Eid Cabcall Outsource
The emotional buzz in the call centre is intensifying and the feeling is bouncing off each other.
It’s the last ten days of Ramadan and everyone is getting excited for the upcoming Eid ul Fitr Festival which mostly consist of three main factors one being delicious local traditional foods. The variety of dishes made by the women of the family to showcase their cooking skills.
Second being the new fancy clothes, it is now custom to wear the national dress of the nation the iconic shalwar kameez for Eid Salah and then change into something more trendy, stylish in its own respect as its total opposite of the national clothing, it is western jeans, t shirts and casual tops. These will be shown off as everyone gathers in the main points of the city to come together to laugh, hug and the nations favorite dance till the early hours of the morning.
The electric energy in such compounded areas is electrifying!
To see the mutual love respect to the fellow brother.
The sound of various music occupying the atmosphere.
The smell of different street snacks lingering in the air….the crazy pindi boys attempting to do a wheelie on their motorbikes gets a big cheer from the on lookers…
This is where locals go to escape in the evenings… family time was in the day and now it’s the lads time. Some say the boys are not the only ones out at night but the fair share of girls are out each one glammed up to the nines… dressed, make up, hair style on point… leaving a lingering sweet smell of perfume as they walk past you confidently in their 3” heels.
Last but not least the important factor spending quality time drinking, dinning and socialising with family and friends. As this is partly what the month of Ramadan is about; to teach us patience, love and forgiveness to each other.
But at the same time each CSR knows as the day of Eid ul Fitr creeps forward the sinking feeling of work, damn work, nobody really wants to talk about Eid. Everyone is trying and hoping they will be lucky and have time off for Eid, but everyone knows it’s like the lottery, does his or her name come up for rota or are they saved from the disheartening thought of working on Eid.
It is slightly a catch 22 we at the end of the day provide a service 24 hours 7 days a week to clients in UK.
At the same time we are a Muslim country and the rest of the country shuts down on the day of Eid ul Fitr. From the biggest names on the market to the small naswar shop hidden amongst vast walk ways, lanes and alleys.
Is it not an ethic and moral right that CSR should be allowed to shut up shop and not come in on Eid?
Is the Employer not within rights to have an interrupted business?
Or does it all come down to give and take and consideration on both sides… as each one serves each other and can only work in conjunctions.
